Everest base Camp trek is also known as EBC trekking that extends from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp. It is 14 days trekking that includes your arrival and departure day. If you want to do Kathmandu day tour, then you can extend the trekking for 15 days. You can enjoy the amazing view of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserkhu, Nuptse and many more peaks of Mahalangur range during this trek. Everest base camp trekking comprises moderate to difficult trekking route that begins from Lukla and continues to Everest base camp. You should take a flight to Lukla, before starting the trek. Everest base camp trek itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal

Day 2: Take Lukla flight and trek to Phakding village

Day 3: Trek to Namche

Day 4: Rest day in Namche Bazar, day hike to Khumjung village

Day 5: Trek to Tengboche

Day 6: Trek to Dingboche

Day 7: Rest day in Dingboche

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche

Day 9: Trek to Gorekshep and hike to Everest base camp

Day 10: Climbing Kalapather and trek back to Pheriche

Day 11: Trek to Namche

Day 12: Trek to Lukla

Day 13: Kathmandu flight

Note: In case of unavailability of direct flight to Kathmandu, we should take flight to Manthali and drive to Kathmandu.

Best time for trekking to Kathmandu

March, April, May, September, October, and November are the best times for EBC trekking. You can get pleasant weather and moderate temperature during this time.

Everest base camp trekking permit

All trekkers need individual trekking permit to do the EBC trek. You can take Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality permit in Lukla and Sagarmatha National Park Permit in Manjo village. Therefore, you should have two permits for EBC trekking.
